1920's VINTAGE EMPIRE B31 VERTICAL STEAM ENGINE BY METALWARE CORP
For sale is a very nice Empire B31 Vertical Steam Engine. Ive heard these engines were manufactured by the Metal Ware Corp. In Two Rivers, Wisconsin back in the 1920s but the metal tag on the front reads Electric B21 Steam Engine, Made in U. By the Harvey Electric Co. Chicago, and has a Patent date of 1/25/21. The B31 is one of four very collectible Empire engines. Although they manufactured many other models, the four with the heavy cast iron bases are the ones most sought after. The B31s have the sweetest sound when running because of the direction of the exhaust port. The Nickle plating and the paint is beautiful but there is some paint loss from age and use, see pictures.
The name tag on the front of the base is in very good condition. It measures 5.0" wide, 8.0" long and 10.0 tall. It is untested but looks complete with cord which has minor damage see pictures.
