1921 Working Toy Steam Engine Electric Heating Empire Metal Ware Corp Nice
Still having most of its red paint in really good condition, this small steam engine looks great. The base is made of cast iron, the silver tank and other parts having a nickel or chrome-like finish. It has the company plaque on one side indicating it was made by the Empire brand of the Metal Ware Corp. Of Two River's Wisconsin. The underside has the impressed information that it was patented in January of 1921. The electric cord which causes the inner heating corp to warm up is still supple and usable, and when it is plugged in it heats up quickly. The measurements are about 9 1/4" L x 5 3/4" W x6 1/2 H.
