ORIGINAL VINTAGE HORIZONTAL ELECTRIC TOY STEAM ENGINE MADE BY EMPIRE The Metal Ware Corp. 120 VOLTS AND 350 WATTS. BASE MEASURES ABOUT 6 by 8x 6.5 high.
It has a horizontal double acting slide valve engine. The boiler is heated electrically 350 watt heating element, it has a throttle control valve whistle and safety valve locate in the chimney.The chimney unscrews to put water in the boiler. There is a sight glass on the end of the boiler. It is in working condition engine runs whistle blows.
Please understand when operating the steam and boiler are just as hot as a boiling tea kettle on you kitchen stove use the same cautions. Condensate will form around engine and it base just like a real steam engine, it should be used where water is not a problem. Great vintage condition, Working, paint is in good condition, some scratches on the chrome finish on the boiler. Appropriate patina for its age.
