Antique Stationary Horizontal Steam Engine Pump Model

ANTIQUE HORIZONTAL STATIONARY STEAM ENGINE WITH PUMP MODEL. This integrated antique stationary steam engine is believed to have been scratch built by an experienced machinist. It likely dates to the first decade of the 20th Century. The single piston cylinder with large wheel is mounted on an iron stage.

The bright green paint makes a handsome display. DIMENSIONS: Height 10 3/4" Width 7 1/2" Length 19 1/2 Flywheel 10 1/2' Weight 17 lbs.

Presented is an almost 20 inch long long table top stationary steam engine assembly with a large 8 spoke 10 1/2 inch diameter flywheel and small boiler feed pump. The slide valve has a single eccentric valve gear that is non-reversable. Close-up of cylinder of model engine.

Miniature models like this were made by manufacturers of steam engines and plants for for advertising purposes and as a record of their sales. They also were sought after by hobbyists who were interested in in this form of power generating, a hobby which is still flourishing today. Appears to be in very good condition, but has not been tested. The drive wheels turn and the piston rod moves in and out. No attempt should be made to use it.
