Antique toy Weeden #49 steam engine
49 which was introduced in 1898 and remained in production until 1926. 11" high with the cast iron base being 10" x 7. It has the "safety door" which has a two wick burner attached to the inside of the firebox door.
This is a earlier model with a brass boiler, maroon cast iron base a light blue engine frame. The firebox and stack are "blued" steel. This engine has original patina on the brass boiler and original paint on base and frame. It is missing the faux governor and steam line and would be a project engine but still a very nice example of this rare engine.
