Large German-Made Vintage Schoenner 165/3 Steam Engine Dampfmaschine

Large vintage German-made Schoenner / Schönner vertical model steam engine Dampfmaschine. Model 165/3 and made in the 1920s or 1930s. Approx measurements: height 38 cm, b. Oiler diameter 9 cm, flywheel diameter 9.5 cm. Not complete but in good condition.

Cast iron base makes this engine steady at all speeds. Much of the pin stripping on the base is in good condition. See photos as they are part of the sale description. Pros: heavy cast iron base, cast iron cylinder mount, chimney, weighted safety relief valve, water level sight glass with individual valves, steam supply valve, crosshead guide, cylinder valve cock, water dump/outlet valve. This model apparently originally came with a water pump driven off the crank but is now missing.

Exhaust pipe has been bent sometime in the past. None of these affect the running of the engine. As burner and pressure gauge shown in running photos are not included in this sale. Nice example of vintage toy craftsmanship.
