Large Vintage PM Research or Reeves marine type steam engine
I was unable to get an exact match from anywhere. If anyone out there knows exactly what brand and/or model, I would appreciate you letting me know.
It is a very well machined engine made from cast bronze and brass. It is a very large oscillating type engine with a large bore (approximately 3/4) and medium stroke (approximately 1). I think this may be a rare engine. I have had it for many years and have had over a thousand engines come thru my shop and have never seen on like it. This engine is in great operational condition and in great cosmetic condition as well. I tested this engine with my air compressor and it ran steady as low as 5 PSI.When first oiled it ran at 2 PSI and It reversible depending on which port you hook the supply line to. It is mounted on a well made cheery base. Please view all the pictures. What you see is what you get. In order to expedite your order I go to the post office as soon as it opens the following day.
