Märklin 16051 compound steam engine. These are no longer being produced. They rarely come up for sale.

This is a very high quality German steam engine. Put into production briefly in the fall of 2004 by Marklin, the 16051 is a faithful reproduction of the old 4158 Compound engine. The Märklin steam machine from the 1930s.

Horizontal machinery, high pressure and low pressure cylinder mounted in joint cylinder jacket. 2 massive flywheels with doubled string-run choke cam. Fire box with gallery rods on both sides.

Appliances: Steam dome with safety weight valve. Steam whistle, steam shut-off cock, three-way cock, water level indicator with discharge cock, manometer. Size: Height with smokestack approx. 37 cm x 37 cm / 14-9/16" x 14-9/16". The Märklin 16051 is a reproduction of the Märklin 4158 Compound that was made from 1911 to 1939.
