Model Live Steam Engine Very Neat
The Graham Ind VR1A is a very fine machined, double acting steam engine suitable for working from 5 to 30 psi. This engine was steam tested but not even fully run in yet.
The classic Stephenson link reversing gear provides lots of visible action when the engine is running. Authentic slide valve engine with a 1/2 inch cylinder bore and a 5/8 inch stroke. The diameter of the brass flywheel is 1-3/4 inch. The silver soldered vertical copper boiler has a center flue and stands 8 inches high. The diameter of the boiler is 2-1/2 inches.
The boiler is equipped with a "Goodall" style refill valve, a steam pressure valve, water level sight glass and a safety valve. The gas burner has a Ronson style refill valve.
