This is a very old tin toy boat powered by a live steam engine and heated by an alcohol burner. In the mid 1980's the boat had a minor repair done to the piston rod where it connects the flywheel. At that time, the boat and steam engine was tested and worked. It has not been used since then. The alcohol for the burner is added through the corked hole in the bow. The water boiler is made of brass. The boat is 4 7/8" wide and 18" long. There is a bend in the tin of the prow section and one on the rudder. The bottom portion of wire holding the rudder in place is loose and should be soldered. I painted this toy after I got it as a kid 50 years ago. Not one of my best efforts, so a new paint job would be in order! PLEASE WAIT FOR MY CORRECT INVOICE. The item "OLD TIN TOY LIVE STEAM ENGINE POWERED BOAT EARLY 1900's" is in sale since Wednesday, December 07, 2016.
