Vintage Stuart Alternator Accessory for Model Toy Steam Engine. This is a Stuart Turner solid bronze alternator made in England. These were produced around 1925 to 1965. The armature is a 2 pole slip ring with a permanent magnet field.
The cost of this alternator was more then some of Stuart's steam engines at the time. The condition of this alternator is in very good condition I really don't think it has been used much. The frame is of solid brass construction it is very well made.
It measures 3 1/2" to the top of the lifting ring is 3 1/4" wide and is 3 3/4 deep. It has a small pulley on the shaft. It is in working condition.
