Curious Antique 1890s Scratch Built Live Steam Engine Toy with Flowers & Box! It is time to downsize my collection related to early steam and mechanical wonders and gain funds for further projects. This is an amazing chance for collectors, enthusiasts and museums to obtain unique artifacts.
Please, take a look at my other interesting items. I want them to find a good home! This incredible engine featuring very rare decorative elements such flowers on a steam cylinder strapping. It also has original box with a cover and a red colored wall inside.Notice how the paint on a cylinder got bumpy and encrusted. This happened due to high temperature steam that came from a boiler. The paint is still firm and just looks like it has small bumps. Every part in this model has been hand made out of metal, brass and wood. The flywheel is rotating and rods are moving.
I have not cleaned or restored the model and I simply love this example of early toy making, engineering and artistic skills!
