Although it resembles certain stationary engines by Marklin, it is most probably a product of Clyde, or Stevens Model Dockyard.

Definitely a commercially produced piece - NOT a homemade model. It measures 7" in height, with a 3.25" flywheel and the 3.5 diameter boiler with a center flue. There are several small factory formed holes in the cast iron base, which may have been for certain optional attachments. The unit does not have its original burner, but most average size burners can be inserted through the opening at the back. It was last fired up about thirty years ago and it should perform just as well today.

It is a very rare engine and an absolute beauty that's in perfect condition.
