Meccano/Malins SP3 steam engine, excellent condition, boxed, from 1979

For sale is a Malins for Meccano SP3 steam engine in silver paint finish, date stamped on the box 12 September 1979, so this is an early one. In excellent condition as shown in the photos. Just four fuel tablets have been used out of the two boxes that come with the engine and I suspect that this was the extent of its use.

There is almost no sign of use at all - just some expected soot to the bottom of the boiler and some marks in the burner tray. The spirit burner is unused. Supplied in the very good original box with inner packer, original funnel, two burners, two fuel packs, sprocket, pinion, funnel, promotional brochure and a selection of unused spring cord/ seals.
