Rare Ernst Plank steam engine 425/2 Vulkan 1910 -1920s
Ernst Plank steam engine - 425/2 Vulkan? A very cool very old steam engine from a by-gone era. Note the detail in the painted platform. Showing some wear but colors are still vivid.
The chimney and fuel drawer are both present which you don't see oftern. They are usually the 1st items to disapper from these old engine as they aren't attached in any way. The piston and wheel turn freely.I have not fired it up but I have little doubt it will work as they are such simple engines. The tank does not appear the have a dmage save one small t=dent near the chimney. I haven't seen a lot of these but based on my internet searches I believe it to be a 425/2 Vulcan. If you know otherwise please let me know.
A great old addition to any collection. There are not a lot of older steam engines available out there.
