Schoenner German Side Crank Flame Ignition Gas Engine Model Toy Plank Otto steam
Early 1900s Schoenner flame ignition toy / model engine made in Germany. This is the single flywheel side crank version. I believe this to be one of the toughest versions to fine as there appears to be many more surviving examples of the double flywheel versions. I only found a couple other examples of this side crank version after searching hours online. Measures roughly 10" x 6.5" x 4.5.
German Schoenner engines were of the highest quality. Has a fair amount of original paint. Appears to have some wear, the push rod has a slight bend in it.
Some original parts may be missing, some parts may have been replaced, I'm not an expert and thus not real sure. There is a small part that is hanging from the push rod via wire, not sure where it goes. What's there looks good and appears that this toy engine would run with the correct fuel supply. This is a rare opportunity to own a very fine example of an early rare Schoenner engine!
