Side Rod Table Model Live Toy Steam Engine
This engine was built in Middlesbrough, UK and displayed at the 1982 Midlands Model Engineering and Hobbies Exhibition. I can't find the castings listing, but 1982 was a few years ago. The engine is well-built and sits on a refinished wood base. It takes very little air to get it turning, and the governor works well to prevent over speeding at high inlet pressures. With engines like this, with two balanced cranks, the piston can be quite a bit larger for the size of each rod.
