VINTAGE 1950s AUSTRALIAN RENOWN TOY STEAM ENGINE COMPLETE WITH BURNER
This is in good condition for age. I have since looked at model and the whistle is slightly pushed in as is the overflow screw. This hasn't ruptured the boiler and won't affect it steaming. It has had no repairs to this model. NOTE This model steam engine exhausts through the chimney and heats faster because of this!
NOTE THE BURNER IS NOT RENOWN ONE BUT ONE VERY SIMILAR. [SCORPION] THE BOILER CAP SCREW IS MISSING BUT I HAVE REPLACED IT WITH A SIMILAR SCREW. This toy steam engine will run if you put in a wick and fill it with methlated spirits and water! The 2 pics at end of photos show the transfer and complete model and it cost 35/- in 1950.
