Vintage German Bing Vertical 130/331 Steam Engine Dampfmaschine Runs Well
Vintage German-made Gebruder Bing vertical model steam engine Dampfmaschine. Most likely Model 130/331 and made in the 1910s or 1920s in Nuremberg Germany. Approx measurements: height 27 cm without chimney, base 12 cm square, boiler diameter 6.5 cm, flywheel diameter 9 cm. Nice execution on the exhaust outlet pipe and flute.
Much of the paint and pin stripping on the flywheel is still in good condition. Not complete but in very good condition. Cast iron base makes this engine steady at all speeds. See photos as they are part of the sale description. Boiler and sight glass are tight, no leaks.
Runs very well on steam, see photos. Modern gas burner in run photos is not included in the sale. Pros: heavy cast iron base, spring safety relief valve, oiler cap, water level sight glass, whistle. Cons: missing the burner and the chimney.
