Vintage, Horizontal Bing Model 70-120 live steam engine Made in Bavaria
This is a vintage, Horizontal Bing Model 70-120 live steam engine. As per Wikipedia, it was made in Bavaria.. This engine is in great operational condition and in good cosmetic condition; I tested this engine and it ran great, the original whistle and original safety valve both work fine too. I cleaned and resealed the sight glass as well. It comes with an alcohol burner as well.
I added a 250ml/8ounce fill bottle and a bottle of steam cylinder oil. Please view all the pictures. What you see is what you get. Since they are pre-packed, I cannot combine engines. I retired a few years ago and have always enjoyed working in my shop.
I have been intrigued with steam engines since I was very young. One of the things on my bucket list was to learn how to operate a metal lathe and mill. When I retired, these two things came together for me and I have been refurbishing toy steam engines ever since.
From the time I started till now, I have refurbished several hundred engines. I test every engine before I sell it. I get great pleasure in bringing these guys back to life and knowing that folks are getting a good running steamer.
