Vintage Horizontal Jensen Model 60 live steam engine (J)
This is a vintage, Jensen Model 60 steam engine, ready to run. It is in great operational condition. I tested it and it ran great. These engines have a large piston, so they produce more power. The original safety valve and Jensen whistle work fine too. The throttle valve works fine as well. I cleaned and resealed the sight glass and flushed the boiler. I made a smoke stack for it and added a new Jensen burner tray (used once for test). I included a 250ml incremented fill bottle.
I also included a bag of hexamine fuel tablets, a copy of the original instructions and a bottle of steam cylinder oil. It is mounted on a hand crafted Spruce platform. I mounted it with Stainless steel screws. Please view all the pictures. What you see is what you get.
In order to expedite your order I go to the post office as soon as it opens the following day. Since they are pre-packed, I cannot combine engines. This may take an extra day. Note; Sometimes Spruce will get a warp to it as it dries. I dry my lumber in a rack for several months, but this is not always enough.
When it changes climates from the high humidity of Florida to an area that is prone to have low humidity it can exacerbate this condition. I always position my engine or accessory on the top of the crown, so it should stay level on the intended surface. This seldom happens, but I wanted you to know it is a possibility.
