Vintage Weeden 14 horizontal live steam engine (c) (refurbished)
This is a vintage, Weeden 14 horizontal steam engine. (c) (Refurbished) It is in good operational condition.
I test fired it and it ran good. This one runs in both forward and reverse.
The original safety valve works fine. This one also comes with a shop built dry fuel type burner.
I put new seals in the site glass and a new site glass and flushed the boiler. It has a shop made governor base and a remanufactured fly ball governor. I added a new drive belt for the governor.
It also has the original whistle. It has the original regulator/ throttle valve too, which works fine. I made a new brass drive pulley for it.
I was able to find a copy of the original No. 14 instructions which are included with some other information on steam engines as well. Please view all the pictures.
What you see is what you get. To get you started, I tossed in a bottle of steam cylinder oil and an eight ounce /250ml incremented fill bottle. It was made in United Sates and they started making this model around 1920 possibly earlier, (I think). They were making this style from the late. 1800's up to 1940. In order to expedite your order I go to the post office as soon as it opens the following day.
